Suzy Fasht is a painter working with Egg Tempera, Oil and Watercolour. Born in London, she moved to Devon twelve years ago with her family.
Her paintings are based on observational pencil drawings, made outside or from still life objects. These are interpreted in the studio with colour and become more imagined pictures. Influences include Persian Paradise Gardens and the Post–Impressionists.
Suzy trained in Fine Art at Wimbledon School of Art then at the Royal Academy’s Post-graduate Painting School, graduating in 1998. Since then she has been making work in between bringing up her son and teaching adult painting classes for Devon County and at Harbour House, Kingsbridge. Suzy has exhibited her work in a variety of settings including Open Studios and the Royal Academy’s Summer Exhibition. She is looking forward to spending more time focusing on her own work at the studio at Seale Hayne and sharing her enthusiasm for painting through workshops and courses.
