Our services
Working at its main site at Ivybridge, about 11 miles from Plymouth – Dame Hannahs provides learning, care, support and fun for adults with a range of disabilities, including: Hannahwood – an innovative transition project for young adults - therapies and supported activities. Our holistic approach offers professional support from our therapists, educationalists, expert medical staff and a care team.

To raise awareness of #STOPthePressure day, Dame Hannah’s wrote a poem called "Under Pressure" and created this amazing video, which was submitted to the community Tissue Viability Team’s, Pressure Damage Prevention poem competition.I am pleased to say that we won! Congratulation and a big thank you to all those involved.

April News 2024
April has been another busy month. Our supporters have been preparing for their challenges and we are looking forward to our fundraising events. Our young adults have been enjoying their new clubs and we have celebrated some special days.

Over the past month we have enjoyed some fun Spring activities despite the bad weather. We were delighted to welcome so many parents to our Special Coffee Morning and we have all enjoyed getting together for special celebration days.
Local Councillors visit Dame Hannahs
South Hams District councillors Victor Abbott and Nadine Dommett visited Dame Hannahs recently. Following an earlier visit, they returned to meet some of the young adults and to join in with the Voice Group. Both the staff and adults had some really good
10X Fitness choose Dame Hannahs as Charity of the Year
The owners of 10X Fitness in Kingsteignton have kindly chosen Dame Hannahs as their charity of the year. Kev and Louise Dadd, who own the gym, will be running fundraising events throughout the year and have already raised over £250.
February News 2024
This month we have had several special days to celebrate including Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year and our young adults have enjoyed outings in between the rain. We have welcomed new staff and visitors and we are very grateful to our supporters.

Kingsbridge Agricultural Show
Visit our Dame Hannahs Refreshment Marquee while attending the show to relax with a drink and delicious lunchtime treat or a snack when you need to rest your feet from stomping the show ground. We can't wait to meet you!
Autumn Lunch
There will be a selection of stalls which can be perused from 11am making it an ideal time to pick up a few Christmas Treats or a treat for yourself.

Clinical Support Assistant (Nights)
Salary: £13.80 per hour (increasing to £14.40 ph in April)
Hours: 20 hrs per week
