Our mission is simple, to empower, advocate and enrich the lives of adults with disabilities.

Our services

Working at its main site at Ivybridge, about 11 miles from Plymouth – Dame Hannahs provides learning, care, support and fun for adults with a range of disabilities, including: Hannahwood – an innovative transition project for young adults - therapies and supported activities. Our holistic approach offers professional support from our therapists, educationalists, expert medical staff and a care team.

March News

Everyone has been enjoying the first signs of Spring and being outside in our grounds or on trips to interesting places. The indoor activities continue to be very popular as they bring our young adults and staff together.

February News 2023

We have all had another busy month with a wide variety of activities and outings, including a first for our book lovers and a personal best for one of our radio hosts. Our fundraisers and volunteers continue to show dedicated support.

Classic Car Enthusiast wins Austin 7 in Dame Hannahs Car Draw

Classic car enthusiast Matt Fowles from Dursley, Gloucestershire was the lucky winner of the Dame Hannahs Car Draw before Christmas. He won the 1936/28 Austin 7 which was very generously donated by loyal supporters Guy Butcher and Eunice Kratky.

2023 has got off to a flying start with New Year outings in Devon and Cornwall and plenty of fun activities both inside and outside. Meanwhile our supporters continue to donate and make fundraising plans for which we are eternally grateful.

Come and enjoy a delicious cream tea and a talk given by Meg de Blank entitled The Royal Consorts - The Men behind the Throne. There will also be a raffle. Bring along your friends and family.
